I was born on our family-farm in the Netherlands in 1972.

I learned to play guitar when I was 8 years old. Started playing in local cover bands when I was 20.

From 2001 till about 2014 I worked with horses professionally (Natural Horsemanship). Traveled the world, but nearly got a burn-out. I decided to take a sabbatical and get out of the rat-race. I picked up my acoustic guitar again and started playing harmonica. Later also dobro and slide guitar. I never returned to horses professionally, only helping where I can.

I started to write my own songs. I found myself gravitating towards Neil Young. My repertoire now contains many great songs from Neil Young and my own songs.

I play music for fun, joy and change .... Raising Vibration of human consciousness.

How I got the name 'eddos'

My birth name is Eddy (from the Modde family). A very dear friend called Graig (guy in the middle on the picture from 1992. He was new to the area where I grew up, but he got many musicians together and we started a band called the Traveling Companions. Graig is also the one the told me to sing and gave me the confidence that I could. Unfortunately he died at the age of 36.

He always called me Eddos. I now use eddos as my artist name

If they ask me if I knew you,
I remember that you were a friend of mine.
